Working In The Dark

Our newer and bigger church is being constructed. Because of our tight budget, we only rely upon volunteers to do the work needed in order for us to build the church. There are some days (or nights) when we have to do some overtime. And this is one of those days (or nights). We only have candles to illuminate the working area. We have yet to install lighting. I hope we can speed up construction without spending a lot. Please help us pray to God that He bless everyone of us here so that we can share our blessings towards the construction of our church.

Bukidnon Mission Trip

Bro. Lito Ramoso, along with other brothers and sisters visited Bukidnon just recently. The leading of the Holy Spirit guided the trip. A few pastors were so ecstatic about the Message that was being spoken to them, so much that they were filled with joy as tears were gushing from their eyes. The mission trip was a success thanks to God and the generous support of all the believers. Keep on supporting the ministry.

Lapu-Lapu City Church Visit

The month of May came and a few of us visited the House of Prayer in Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines. This church is being led by their pastor, Bro. Heracleo "Rocky" Verallo with help from his immediate family who are accomplished musicians and singers and a bunch of brothers and sisters dedicated in serving God by helping in the ministry. Their church has recently undergone transfers and renovations and by the grace of God, they have made it possible for themselves to worship in a bigger and cozier house of worship. Back then, they were coming in fellowship in a minuscule room, sparing the understatement. The days we spent there were filled with sweet remembrance. We hope to see them soon.

Butuan End-Time Message Fellowship 2009 Praise and Worship

The Butuan End-Time Message Fellowship 2009 was an event filled with praise and worship and preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Listen to one excerpt from a praise and worship event offered to God on that day.

Old People Sings For God

Our older people from Mabuhay, Agusan del Norte sings a classic song in Cebuano and in English. This is a tear jerking song for God. I love it when they sing. You could really feel the love of God in them. The song says, "Magtutok lamang ngadto Kanimo, tungod kay sayod ako nga sa kanunay magauban Ikaw, ug kanako maghatag ug kalipay luyo sa mga pagsulay." (Just looking at You, I know that You will always be with me, and You will give me happiness in the midst of trials.)

Butuan Fellowship 2009

The Butuan Fellowship 2009 was a successful event. It was held on April 9-12, 2009 at the House of Prayer in Brgy. Mahogany, Butuan City, Philippines. It was attended by brothers and sisters all around Mindanao. Bro. Richard Gan from Singapore and Bro. James Veremu from Zimbabwe ministered non-stop from day 1 to 4 and everyone was blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ's Message. Bro. David Colili of Novaliches, Quezon City also ministered deeply despite having declined early on. The fellowship started with a celebration amidst the Holy Week observance and it ended with tearful goodbyes as everyone was not keen on leaving because of the joyful experience.

A Sad News For The People Of Cabadbaran

Hello fellow believers and bloggers alike, greetings to everyone in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's been so long since I made a post in this blog. Time got the best of us here. With this post, I also bring a sad news for many. By virtue of a Supreme Court decision, dated November 18, 2008, docketed G.R. No 176951, the City of Cabadbaran is no more. Our humble city, once again, becomes a municipality. The Court decided that our Cityhood Law, the piece of legislation that made our municipality a city, is unconstitutional, i.e. against the very foundation our Constitution has set upon all laws of the land to follow. The demotion brings a reduced Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA), that means that the National Government will shell out a reduced budget for Cabadbaran. Cabadbaran filed a consolidated Motion for Reconsideration with the Court, along with other 15 cities affected by the decision, but the word is that the motion is rejected. There is no official confirmation yet but we can no longer delay the inevitable. Our cityhood is gone.

How will this affect us? For the believers here, things have not really changed after Cabadbaran was named a city. Although, in general, things will change for the worst but the Lord has apportioned to us a far greater reward than any cityhood or any IRAs combined. His blessings will continually pour upon his people here. Even though times will be tough, His people will grow tougher. That is why, we also need your help in your prayers that everything will work out fine for us here. We will also pray for you. Let's all pray together. And surely the Lord will listen to our plea.
